*REALLY* Don't Understand My Mother Sometimes. Insight/Advice?

Don't doubt yourself. It sounds like you are doing fine. Your mom sounds lonely and perhaps she doesn't want that same fate for you. Just keep doing what you are doing. You only have one life to live and your mom can only live her life. Have fun, life is short.
