I want to change my hair and i need some ideas.?

I have medium length hair now, but i want to cut is shorter. I want hair that has a lot of character to it. Im shooting for the type of look that is like someone who would live in the wild or something and just randomly hacks their hair. Like hair that would be like short indian hair, and i am planing to have feather extensions put in. i know i sound weird trying to descirbe this but i need help!!!!! Oh, and i have blond hair.
